Dam: Country Magic Coco Chanel VG89 DOB: February 25, 2022 Cash is another lovely Itty Bitty Acres buck. He is a powerhouse of a buck and despite being rather uphill, he has not gone over height.
I have hopes that he will increase size and body capacity in his offspring. This spring he classified a respectable VG88 at merely 2 years old. He earned himself an 86 Rump, 87 dairy strength, and 89 Feet and Legs. His dam, Country Magic Coco Chanel VG89, has a very socked on udder, a trait that he has passed on 3/3 to his daughters! I was thrilled to see that he substantially improved attachment in just one generation, a trait that the herd had lacked in prior to his genetic influence. Of those 3 retained daughters, 2 received their milk stars this year on the one day milk test. Prairie Crocus Golden Halo milked an impressive 4.41 lbs as a yearling! (The doe who did not earn her star was merely 13 months old and feeding a single doeling, yet with 0.59 points shy) Cash was used heavily last fall and generously gave me plenty of daughters to retain and if all goes well, hopefully we can get him his +S designation in the next year or two. |
